Title:  "Failed to create empty document" error message appears when opening the BrightStor ARCserve Backup Manager

This problem has been reported when the internet explorer is upgraded to IE 7.

When you click OK, the manager opens as shown below.

In order to resolve this problem, please follow these steps:

  1. Close the BrightStor ARCserve Backup manager.

  2. Rename psapi.dll located in C:\Program Files\CA\BrightStor ARCserve Backup to psapi.dll.org

  3. Open BrightStor ARCserve Backup Manager.

Note: The location of the file may differ depending on the directory to which BrightStor ARCserve Backup was installed.
