                     This update addresses  a security vulnerability  do
                     to  a  buffer  overflow  in  the ARCserve Discovery
                     Service.  This  patch  should  be  applied  to  all
                     Windows  systems  where  the  ARCserve  2000   base
                     product  and  any  type  of  ARCserve  agents (file
                     system,  database,  application,  open  file)   are
                     installed.
                     This vulnerability was reported to CA by iDEFENSE.

PROBLEM RESOLUTION:  Follow the instructions below:
1. This fix requires ARCserve 2000 Advanced Edition for NT - Japanese
Edition to be installed.

2. Unzip the fix file as follows:

      CAZIPXP -u QO62766.CAZ

3. Run AS2000WSecurityJ.exe
