PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: NT   -DISCOVERY    SERVICE   -    SECURITY   UPDATE

         ***NOTE***  This PTF supersedes QO62770 which has been withdrawn

                     This    update    addresses    potential   security
                     vulnerabilities   caused   by   a  buffer  overflow
                     condition  in  the  BrightStor  Enterprise   Backup
                     Discovery Service. This patch should be applied  to
                     all Windows systems where the BrightStor Enterprise
                     Backup  v10.5   base  product   and  any   type  of
                     BrightStor  Enterprise  Backup  agent (file system,
                     database, application, open file) is installed.

                     This update  is a  cumulative patch  and supersedes
                     QO62770. which addressed a different  vulnerability
                     in  the  discovery  service,originally  reported by
                     iDEFENSE .

1. This fix requires BrightStor Enterprise Backup v10.5 for Windows
to be installed.

2. Shutdown Enterprise Backup.

3. Unzip the fix file as follows:

      CAZIPXP -u QO64540.CAZ

4. Run BEB105WSecurity.exe
